Just Transition

The CWC works with trade unions and the Just Transition Centre to draw awareness to the role of workers impacted by the transition to a low carbon economy.

Investors can support a just transition to a low carbon economy by doing the following:

• Engaging with companies as they develop their net-zero plans, bringing questions around workforce transitions into discussions.
• Encouraging companies in renewables and other green economy sectors to embrace workforce policies and practices that uphold workers’ rights and standards.
• Supporting and filing resolutions in line with the ITUC shareholder resolution principles on just transition.
• Integrating just transition into the investment and climate-related policy dialogues in which they participate.
